Statement of Policy

As a new policy of the Journal, the Board of Editors have decided to invite views of noted experts in the field of actual and controversial problems in vascu lar diseases. These views will be presented as "special editorials." These editorials do not necessarily reflect the consensus of the Board of Editors of the Journal, and the Board will make no efforts to impose its views on them. They are intended to present individual opinions from the leaders of our profession. We will also invite and, if possible, provide a place in the Journal for the expression of opposite viewpoints.
