The Business of Psychiatric Nursing: Cents and Sensibility: Part II: Developing the Clinical Program and Practice Guidelines

Successful independent practice requires that services fill an unmet need within a com munity. The art and science of advanced practice psychiatric nursing provides a struc ture within which to frame clinical interventions that are distinctive and inimitable by providers other than advanced practice psychiatric nurses. The focus of this article is the nurse-developed Three Rs Psychiatric Rehabilitation Treatment Program: Relapse, Recovery, and Rehabilitation-A Wellness Approach to the Management of Psychiatric Disabilities.
