Zusammenfassung:Evangelicals today have political influence but lack an evangelical political philosophy. There is inconsistency and confusion. We need to do detailed study of society, political philosophy, specific issues, and, most importantly, the Bible. Jesus is at the centre of Christian politics. Our politics is formed by certain biblical paradigms, such as the sanctity of every human being, justice, a concern for the poor. A political philosophy defines the role of government and the rights of individuals, stressing the need for justice and freedom. Laws should promote family values, the need to work, the right to life. The needs of the poor should be paramount.
