Shakespearean bodies in movement: Central and Eastern European and American echoes on dance stages

Shakespeare's adaptations in choreographic art function, both in classical ballet and in contemporary dance, as a link between cultural identities. Framed in a socio-political context and following the Shakespearean choreographic adaptations, this article focuses on the creations of some artists from Central and Eastern Europe and aims to highlight the intersections of modern American dance with their style, regardless of the existence or the fall of the Iron Curtain.
