Zusammenfassung: | This paper describes action research employed in the development of a suicide-prevention program which prepared educational staff to become 'gatekeepers'. Intervention strategies and programs were based on results of a survey. A quasi-experimental design was used to evaluate the workshops offered within this intervention. The three studies presented in the article demonstrate a collaboration between practitioner and researcher in a recurring cycle of basic research, program development and program evaluation, aimed at addressing the problem of adolescent-suicide prevention. |
