Zusammenfassung: | This paper attempts to analyse the Land-Use Land-Cover (LULC) changes during the years from 1999 to 2020 in the peri-urban areas of Delhi (Capital of India). These areas have been undergoing tremendous transformation, especially spatial transformation due to their proximity to urban areas and availability of cheaper land. Peri-urban areas of Delhi have observed a significantly higher growth of built-up area in these two decades compared to other LULC changes such as vegetation, waterbodies, wasteland and agriculture. In this concern, a statistical relationship of built-up expansion with transport infrastructure is established to address the land use dynamics. |
