Zusammenfassung: | Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are an important part of therapy for childhood rheumatic disease and for the symptomatic management of clinical problems such as fever, musculoskeletal pain, and dysmenorrhea. Overall, there is a low incidence of significant complications resulting from NSAID therapy in children, but serious adverse effects on renal function have occurred. The physician should be aware of the potential renal toxicity of these drugs and monitor patients accordingly. |
