Zusammenfassung:	Graffiti have been found to be an effective means of promoting communication between patients and staff on the mental health unit of St. Joseph's Hospital in Chicago. Corridor and dayroom walls we lined with butcher paper, and patients and staff scribble messages to each other using colored dry markers attached to the wall. The scribblings can give staff diagnostic insights and clues about ways of relating to patients.
