Zusammenfassung:The patient was a man in his 80s. A 23 mm ischemic mass in the pancreatic body and a necrotic accumulation in the tail of the pancreas were diagnosed as obstructive pancreatitis due to pancreatic cancer, and he was treated for pancreatitis. However, there was no improvement, and endoscopic ultrasonography showed dilatation of the main pancreatic duct caudal to the tumor and sludge echoes with high luminance, leading to a diagnosis of acute obstructive suppurative pancreatitis. An endoscopic pancreatic duct stent was placed, but stent obstruction occurred in the short term, which improved with pancreatic duct stent exchange. Our findings indicate that pancreatic duct drainage methods for acute obstructive suppurative pancreatitis should be considered on a case-by-case basis, as there is a risk of stent occlusion.
