Tunable Pt Alloys for Oxygen Reduction and Alcohol Oxidation

Herein, we report the tunable properties of electroactive PtCu alloys made by galvanic displacement of Pt onto Cu metallic foams and their effect on the electrocatalytic activity of O 2 reduction to form water or peroxide and the electrooxidation reaction of alcohols and organic acids to CO 2 .
