Zusammenfassung: | Using Molecular Layer Deposition (MLD), three kinds of molecules, that is, terephthalaldehyde (TPA), p-phenylenediamine (PPDA), and oxalic dihydrazide (ODH), were connected one-by-one with designated sequences to construct multiple quantum dots (MQDs) in conjugated polymer wires. With decreasing the quantum dot lengths, absorption peak energy of the quantum dots shifts to the higher energy side, indicating that the quantum confinement effect arises. As applications of the polymer wires with the MQDs, electro-optic materials for optical switches, and efficient and robust light absorption layers for waveguide type dye-sensitized photo-voltaic devices are described. |
