A Model for SO2 Impurity in Air Fed to a Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell
Transient data of SO2 in air are presented to understand the effect of SO2 on the fuel cell performance. An empirical relationship between steady state voltage loss and the concentration of SO2 in air was found for the Gore Select® membrane. A poisoning mechanism was proposed for SO2 in air.
