Zusammenfassung:The electrochemical formation of Dy–Ni alloys was investigated in a molten CsCl-DyCl 3 system at 973 K under a dry Ar atmosphere. Open-circuit potentiometry was performed with a Ni electrode after depositing Dy metal at 0.18 V (vs. Cs + /Cs) for 90 min. Five potential plateaus were observed at 0.29 V, 0.42 V, 0.52 V, 0.77 V and 0.90 V, which were considered to correspond to the potentials of two-phase coexisting states of different Dy–Ni alloys. Potentiostatic electrolysis was conducted at 0.28 V for 4 h and 0.38 V for 1 h using Ni plate electrodes, and XRD analysis indicated the formation of DyNi and DyNi 2 , respectively. After the formation of DyNi 2 on the Ni plate electrodes, potentiostatic electrolysis were also conducted at 0.46 V, 0.66 V and 0.82 V for 1 h. The formed DyNi 2 was transformed to DyNi 3 at 0.46 V, Dy 2 Ni 7 at 0.66 V, DyNi 5 at 0.82 V.
