Zusammenfassung: | For advanced applications, such as electric vehicles, it is necessary to achieve high battery pack voltage reaching hundreds of volts and high capacity at the same time. These requirements should be met by new accumulators based on high-voltage cathode materials with their voltage close to 5 V rather than by currently used Li-Ion accumulators. Due to higher working voltages of these materials, the number of cells required to achieve the desired voltage is lower, thereby the battery pack is smaller and lighter. For good operation of these materials, their synthesis must be accurate. This paper deals with the influence of used gas in the oven chamber during the synthesis of high voltage spinel cathode material LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4. Final materials were studied using scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). Crystalline structure was studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Subsequently, electrochemical properties of these electrode materials were also tested by electrochemical methods. |
