Zusammenfassung: | Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements are performed on an electrochemical sensor exposed to carbon monoxide in a hydrogen environment. Equivalent circuits are fit to data recorded prior to and after CO contamination in order to characterize the changes occurring in the sensor following poisoning of the electrodes, and find that both short time scale (kinetics) and long time scale (diffusion like) phenomena are affected by the presence of CO on the catalyst surface. Further work to more completely describe changes to the sensor is ongoing. |
