Zusammenfassung: | The one-dimensional simulation results of the reflection of electromagnetic fields from moving or vibrating perfectly conducting planes are presented in this report. The computational results are obtained by the characteristic-based method with the application of the characteristic variable and relativistic boundary conditions. For the purpose of easy observation of relativistic effects on the reflected electromagnetic waves, the perfect conductor is set either to travel constantly or to vibrate sinusoidally such that the extreme instantaneous velocity is 10 or 20% of the speed of light. The theoretical Doppler shift values are used to examine the accuracy of numerical method. The computational results and the exact values are in good agreement. |
