Zusammenfassung: | The pH distribution of an electrolyte around a cathode during the electrochemical deposition
of calcium phosphate was examined using a pH imaging microscope and discussed from an
electrochemical point of view. From the plot of the weight gain due to the deposits against
square root of the loading time, the critical time for deposition was determined at four levels
of current densities. OH
-
concentration around the cathode during the electrochemical
deposition was found to be pH 9.6 using the Sand equation on the basis of the critical time
and other constants. The pH distribution around the cathode was quite different for the
electrolytes with and without pH buffer. |
