Magnetic Flux Distribution Induced by Pulsed Magnetic Field in Quench-and-Melt-Grown YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7-x

Zusammenfassung:Flux movement generated by pulsed magnetic field has been observed using search coils coaxially set on the surface of a ring-shaped sample of quench-and-melt-grown YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7- x . From the analysis of these signals, we have found that the flux does not obey the critical state model, at least within the rising time of the pulsed field. This phenomenon is explained by the flux flow intensely driven by the Lorentz force under the external pulsed field.
