Zusammenfassung:The temporal variation of the mode structure of an optically-pumped 385 µm D 2 O laser is studied numerically. A semiclassical laser theory is adopted to investigate coherent interaction between the laser fields and D 2 O molecules. The pump field is assumed to be a monochromatic emission of a pulsed CO 2 laser at the 9R(22) transition line. Mode-shift phenomena are observed in the present numerical simulation, which have also been observed in the experiment.
