Zusammenfassung: | A new mode of liquid crystal display which has a fast response time is proposed. Using a solid ferroelectric material as an aligning layer, a ferroelectric liquid crystal director is controlled from the surface by an external electric field. In a preliminary experiment, guanidine aluminium sulfate hexahydrate is used as the aligning layer, and a response time half that of the conventional aligning method is obtained. |
