Zusammenfassung:Electromagnetic scattering of Gaussian laser beam by microheterogeneities was discussed. The local properties of the random medium such as water droplet clouds and smoke are studied experimentally. The angular intensity distributions of the scattered light are compared with theoretical results of statistical theory with the help of correlation functions of inhomogeneities devised by the author. From comparison between experimental and theoretical results, it is found that a few kinds of fluctuations of different sizes caused by different origins are mixed. One of the correlation lengths of fluctuations is expressed as almost equivalent to the mean diameter of scatterers, while others are less.
