Zusammenfassung:Transient current measurement of stretched PVDF film revealed that γ-ray irradiation induced retardation in the switching behavior. The change in the transient current appeared most prominently in its hump region. The radiation induced retardation was far more obstinate than the aging induced one. The activation field and energy for the film irradiated with 10 Mrad were 1.31 GV/m and 0.551 eV, a little larger than the 1.15 GV/m and 0.542 eV for the unirradiated one. Retardation was attributed to the decrease in the growth rate of domain and the nucleation probability.
