Zusammenfassung:The reaction of ferrocene and tropylium hexafluorophosphate yields ferrocenyltropylium PF 6 , which crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2 1 /C (a = 9.7858(10) Å, b = 16.3692(24) Å, c = 10.901(4) Å, β = 113.030(18)°, Z = 4, T = 27 °C, V = 1607.0(7) Å 3 , R f  = 0.091, R w  = 0.040) for 102 parameters and 929 observed (I > 2.5 σ(I)) out of 2087 total measured reflections. The reaction of nickelocene and triphenylmethyl tetrafluoroborate yields triphenylmethylcyclopentenyl cyclopentadienyl nickel tetrafluoroborate, which crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2 1 /n (a = 11.0306(19) Å, b = 14.078(4) Å, c = 17.117(4) Å, β = 101.134(18)°, Z = 4, T = 27 °C, V = 2608.0(11) Å 3 , R f  = 0.091, R w  = 0.035) for 147 parameters and 1334 out of 3361 measured reflections.
