Zusammenfassung:This study aims to analyze the block-level relationship between building usage and trip patterns in Tokyo wards based on GPS data. First, it highlights the variations in trip generation and attraction across different usages and days. Office buildings on weekdays and commercial facilities on weekends show a generation and attraction rate more than four times higher than the weekday average. Second, it reveals the characteristics of trip patterns: business districts experience higher generation in the afternoon and evening and higher attraction in the morning and afternoon on weekdays, while weekends show higher activity in the afternoon. Third, it indicates the relationship between usage and trip patterns: commercial blocks experience generations and attractions in the afternoon, with longer travel length and shorter staying time, in contrast to residential blocks.
