Zusammenfassung:The implementation of environmentally friendly, next-generation transportation systems is recognized as a sustainable reaction to existing environmental issues such as global warming and energy shortages. This research evaluated and assessed the environmental load reduction effect of Electric Vehicle (EV) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) integrated next-generation transportation system, by considering the users’ usage intentions. By conducting questionnaires, this research first grasped the relationship between LRT and secondary transport usage intentions in Utsunomiya city, Tochigi prefecture. Further, this research evaluated the environmental load reduction effect of the next-generation traffic system by considering usage intentions. Here, the environmental load reduction effect is calculated for when the EV bus and LRT are linked, and the case with the most significant effect is outlined.
