Survey on the Usefulness of Daily Activities of Neighborhood Associations for Disaster Relief: Case Study at the Great East Japan Earthquake in Urayasu City

This paper deals with the activities of neighborhood associations against the Great East Japan Earthquake in Urayasu city. By using of questionnaire, we lead some conclusions below; 1)Most of neighborhood associations have successfully started up activities for disaster relief, while a small number of associations have failed to start. 2)Daily activities of neighborhood associations are useful for urgent activities in the event of a disaster. 3)Human relations developed through daily activities are quite useful for disaster relief.
