Zusammenfassung:THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY IS TO OBSERVE THE STRUCTURAL TRANSITION OF THE COMMERCIAL SPACE AND CASTLE IN JEONJU. THE CONCLUSIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS; A) JEONJU CASTLE WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1018-1033. THE REASONS FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE CASTLE WERE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF JEONGUN STREET IN 1908 AND CITY REPLANNING IN 1912. B) THE MARKET PLACE OCCURRED IN 1469. IT FLOURISHED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FOURSIDEGATE IN 1734. IT DISAPPEARED NATURALLY IN 1911. BUT THE SOUTH GATE BECAME A STANDING MARKET. C) HAND CRAFT STORES WERE FOUNDED IN 1592. AFTER THE REMOVAL OF THE CASTLE, IT ADVANCED ON TO THE MAIN ROAD, AND THEN LATER DISAPPEARED BECAUSE OF COMPETITION GOODS FROM JAPAN.
