Zusammenfassung:CaYb 2 S 4 -based phases with a superstoichiometric content of Yb 2 S 3 to be used for depositing thin-layer sulfur-containing coatings were obtained for the first time. The attestation of the samples was performed using X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy. The conductometry was used to measure the complex electroconductivities of the samples, whereas the bulk and intergrain components were determined by means of impedance spectroscopy. Based on conductometry and potentiometric chronoamperometry data, the selfdiffusion and effective diffusion coefficients were determined. In order to predict the application area, the working range of sulfur partial pressures was determined using the emf method.
