Heteronuclear terbium-europium polymers (Tb 1.5 Eu 0.5 L 3 ·H 2 O, TbEuL 3 ·H 2 O, and Tb 0.5 Eu 1.5 L 3 ·H 2 O) show luminescence via the intramolecular transfer of the exiting energy from Tb 3+ emitting level to Eu 3+ .
