). All the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurements, infrared and electronic spectra, and thermogravimetric analysis. The X-ray patterns of the [VO(L

)] · H

) complexes show the monoclinic system with the unit cell parameters

= 26.1352,

= 11.7149,

= 6.0401 β = 115.38° and

= 29.3787,

= 5.9175 β = 96.84°, respectively. The complexes

and
II
catalyze the oxidation of styrene in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. |
