Experimental determination of preferential mechanisms of stress relaxation during deformation of HCP metals

Stages of the process of plastic deformation in twinning materials have been experimentally studied for VT1-0 titanium alloy. Mechanisms of hardening and stress relaxation are established based on analysis of the signals of acoustic emission recorded during microindentation.
