Zusammenfassung:Self-healing poly(methylmethacrylate- co -glycidyl methacrylate) copolymer was fabricated with embedded diethylenetriamine encapsulated poly(methylmethacrylate) microcapsules. The matrix copolymer was synthesized via free radical polymerization using 2,2'-azobisisobutyronitrile as the initiator. Microcapsules containing triamine hardener with poly(methyl methacrylate) as the shell were synthesized using a water-oil-water emulsion solvent evaporation method. Different weight percentage of the microcapsules are introduced into the copolymer matrix to study the healing effects and also the mechanical properties of the copolymer.
