Zusammenfassung:Two methods for the single quasi-static separation of a multicomponent mixture in a proposed idealized apparatus with semipermeable pistons are discussed in detail. Equations for calculating the effective work of mixture separation are obtained. An interpretation is given of the difference between the total work (which displays additivity) and the effective work of multicomponent mixture separation.
