The kinetics of reduction of nitrite with thiourea dioxide in the presence of cobalt tetrasulfophth-alocyaninate was studied. The process was shown to involve the Co II ↔ Co I catalytic cycle. The kinetic parameters of the reduction of Co II and Co I tetrasulfophthalocyaninates were determined
