Zusammenfassung: | Nonlinear internal waves have been observed propagating up the slope of the South China Sea during the recent AsiaEX experiment. Energy dissipation rates have been extracted. The location of the initiation of the depression to elevation conversion has been identified. Scaling parameters have been extracted and used to initialize a two-layer evolution models simulation. The calculations are compared to the in situ observations. [Work supported by the ONR Ocean Acoustic Program and ONRs NRL base funding.] |
