Zusammenfassung: | The authors have proposed new lattice gas models for sound propagation [‘‘A New Lattice Gas Model for 1-D Sound Propagation,’’ J. Comp. Acs. (to be published); ‘‘Sound Propagation Simulations Using Lattice Gas Methods,’’ 15th AIAA Aeroacoustics Conf., AIAA 93-4404 (1993)]. These models are dissipationless. In this paper, it will be shown how dissipation effects can be combined with these lattice gas models. It is known that a random walk of lattice gas particles can simulate dissipation effects. The random walk and the motion of lattice gas particles for wave propagation can be combined using a similar method to that used to obtain a lattice gas sound propagation model for a two-dimensional square lattice from a one-dimensional lattice gas sound propagation model. One can also apply the concept of our lattice gas models to the simulation of fluid dynamic nonlinearities and the simulation of sound propagation in moving media. |
