Zusammenfassung: | For a long time, noise produced by the central-heating units (panel radiator, valves, pump, and others∥ in a one-family house was not considered as a noise problem. Complaints by inhabitants and later investigations done in Denmark concluded that the noise, although of a low level, was disturbing because of its continuous nature. One specific case is discussed in detail. Noise levels were recorded, and the sources of the noise were traced and investigated. Conclusions are drawn, and general advice as to noise control of a central-heating system is given. |
