Zusammenfassung:A rectangular patch of elements mounted in a spherical array is assumed to radiate within a concentric spherical shell. Electrical input signals are prescribed such that the radiating elements are phased to a plane. Radiation loadings on each active element are computed, and these together with the input electrical signals and equivalent circuit for the element are used to compute the actual transducer element velocities. With these velocities, farfield beam patterns are computed. Results showing the effects of the shell on element radiation loadings, element velocities, and farfield beam patterns are included.
