Zusammenfassung: | In this paper, the vibration signature of straight and wavy single walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) doubly clamped at a source and a drain has been analyzed and is used to represent single mode resonator. The previous study showed the experimentally measured resonance frequencies of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for straight beams CNT have been used. However, from photomicrographic images of CNTs, it is clear that they are not straight and they have some significant surface deviation such as waviness or curvature associated with them. In the present study; the vibration response analysis of CNTs with waviness has been done. The results showed the sensitivity of the SWCNTs having different waviness to mass (attached at different position along the length of a doubly clamped SWCNT) and different lengths. This study explores the effect of waviness on the mass sensitivity of a nanomechanical resonator. |
