Zusammenfassung:In this study, the authors evaluate the effects of an eight-week dialogic reading intervention with an experimental group of 26 at-risk children in the year prior to formal schooling. The results on measures of literacy taken during the first year of formal schooling, compared with results of a control group of 23 children, will encourage all those working to involve families in early intervention.
