Wave impedance of the linear resonant gain medium characterized by a Doppler broadened Lorentz line

The wave impedance of a partially homogeneously broadened gas-laser amplifier is formulated by using the Voigt function and its Hilbert conjugate. The impedance of a typical high-gain gaslaser amplifier is evaluated.
