Zusammenfassung: | Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) outreach programs strive to ignite a passion for STEM among students through interactive sessions, workshops, and mentorship initiatives. These programs, designed to bridge educational gaps and promote inclusivity, engage diverse communities. In Bule Hora, Ethiopia, a STEM outreach project, supported by IEEE and Bule Hora University (BHU), aimed to motivate female students in STEM fields. Over three and a half months, this project, funded by IEEE TryEngineering, reached three high schools, emphasizing practical applications of STEM concepts and fostering critical thinking. With participation from more than 1,000 female students, it culminated in a campus visit, allowing students to interact with BHU's STEM community. This initiative not only nurtured problem-solving skills but also laid the groundwork for future female STEM professionals in Bule Hora, Ethiopia. |
