Zusammenfassung:We propose a novel network protection scheme that features mutual protection between adjacent P2MP coherent networks without requiring complex switching or redundant devices. High system availability and fast service restoration have been achieved by utilizing coherent transceivers with remotely delivered optical carriers that are injection locked to an optical frequency comb. System functionality and performance have been verified experimentally. The mutual protection design was also verified using commercially available coherent optics. Full-duplex design that features simultaneous bidirectional transmission using the same wavelength has also been tested in the coherent P2MP system.
