Zusammenfassung: | A novel low-profile antenna with monopole-like radiation characteristics is proposed for 4G/5G indoor micro ceiling base station applications. The proposed antenna consists of a top loading disk, two polygonal copper sheets, which are orthogonally intersected, and a circular printed circuit board (PCB), which serves as the ground. A prototype is fabricated and measured. The proposed antenna has a very low profile of 0.057 λ min , where λ min is the free-space wavelength at the lowest frequency of the operating band.
