Zusammenfassung: | The authors describe the design and testing of a 32-GHz six-element linear transmitter array utilizing monolithic-microwave-integrated-circuit (MMIC) phase shifters and power amplifiers for a spacecraft array feed for NASA deep-space communication applications. Performance results for individual phase shifters, power amplifiers, and microstrip radiators are reported, and electronic beam steering of the linear array is demonstrated. The array has a beam width of 7.5 degrees and demonstrates acceptable beam steering over +or-8 degrees , which is adequate for the future two-dimensional array.< > |
