Comparison between the magnetization obtained from Faraday balance and VSM or SQUID
The authors derive a relation between the magnetization obtained using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) or a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer and the magnetization obtained using a Faraday balance (FB). It is shown that, to a first approximation, the magnetizatio...

Zusammenfassung: | The authors derive a relation between the magnetization obtained using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) or a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer and the magnetization obtained using a Faraday balance (FB). It is shown that, to a first approximation, the magnetization obtained using a FB should be very close to those obtained using VSM or SQUID, especially for short samples and low field. The variation of the magnetization with the sample length is presented at low and intermediate fields.< > |
