Zusammenfassung:The proposed method utilizes characteristics to model convection and perturbation technique for diffusion and dispersion. Thus, each physical process is treated by a numerical scheme well suited to it. The theory is treated in three dimensions and applied to a one-dimensional problem. The objective of the paper is the improvement of numerical techniques used in enhanced oil recovery problems which involve convection-dominated flows with small diffusion and dispersion.
