The title compound, C10H12N2O2, was prepared by the reaction of o‐hydroxyhypnone and acetohydrazide. In the structure, there are intramolecular C—H...N and O—H...N, and intermolecular N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen‐bond interactions.
