Zusammenfassung:The title compound, C23H21NO5S, was synthesized by the Reformatsky reaction of N‐[(3,4‐methyl­ene­dioxy­phenyl)­methyl­ene]‐4‐methyl­benzene­sulfon­amide and 2‐bromo­aceto­phenone. The S atom in the sulfonyl group has a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The two independent mol­ecules in the asymmetric unit form two centrosymmetric dimers connected by intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the amino and sulfonyl groups.
