The Calculation of Stellar Pulsation

Methods developed to calculate the pulsation behavior of Stellar envelopes in RR Lyrae and Cepheid type pulsating stars are reported. The observed pulsations are assumed to arise spontaneously because of the equation-of- state and the opacity of the envelopes. (M.J.T.)
